It's interesting to consider my various play styles I've participated in over the years; From ripping through boss runs to running a roleplaying clan OSRS Gold, or a long list of skills which I've used to accomplish an objective.
It's now my preference to take my time and not use any item that could increase the amount of XP that I earn so that I can take my time on my long trek to level up. I often read while doing this - it's surprisingly enjoyable to hear the clink of my pickaxe or mattock as background sound.
The reason I keep coming back to RuneScape is how it makes me feel as if it's an organism that's always evolving with new challenges , locations and challenges. Then there are the skills and the interwoven tapestries that combine the various gameplay aspects together, which let me switch from making runestones and the hunt for dinosaurs. My personal favorite is Archaeology due to how it combines lore-based exploration with incredible skill development.
When it comes to RuneScape lore - never forget the questlines. Here I've experienced gothic horror in epic fantasy as well as the desire of one man to bake cakes. I'll never forget how many hours they spent inside The Temple of Light, even when I wish I could. It's not even the best part. Old School RuneScape through which I can travel back to the game I found myself in love with.
I've taken breaks during my time playing a new game, from RuneScape over the years. The longest was when Evolution of Combat (also known as EoC) was released - the action bars and abilities were in conflict with the RuneScape section of my brain.
RuneScape but, as always, comes up with a way to trap me, and this time I was snared by the Legacy Combat Mode, which revived the tick-based battles that was the norm in osrs account services. EoC and me have quite a turbulent relationship; mostly due to resistance from my side, but I'm trying. Rarely.
