The Home Affairs of the department categorizes different types of visa plans for which it is mandatory to assess skills. The assessment is done before finalizing a visa. Employer Sponsored Visas and Temporary Work Visas need a skills assessment. They are known as skilled migration visas.

Time Required for Skills Assessment

Before the visa is processed, applicants become in the dilemma as to which one process should start first- Skills Assessment or English Language Test.

Skills Assessments require you to gather a lot of documents. It may take more than a month if you have worked for several companies. Collect the roles and responsibility letters from these companies. It may take more than the usual time if the company has merged or divide or the manager working on your time has left the work.
