EA spends their resources on Ultimate Team manners in Madden, FIFA, etc since it brings them revenue well. I wonder if there's any information on how much money they earn off UT modes available? Speedy google search says EA generates $1.3B USD from"extra content" annually, with approximately $650 million coming out of ultimate team. I'm imagining a big chunk of that is FIFA, but there's no way they're gonna toss MUT aside if earnings streams are that lucrative.
Yeah, basically that's why they could give a fuck about franchise mode that stops receiving support. There is belief that EA botches other ways to direct gamers towards the UT platform. Intentional or not, they're a business and they go where the money goes. I absolutely believe that EA does do that together with the hopes that they spend money to try and get players to play with MUT, to other ways. Look how you and teammates can play online in MUT Squads, however there is no way to play on the internet with teammates anywhere else in Madden 21 like play. So I am 100% this season boycotting.
I am for everyone who thinks I am defending EA, with you, I am not. I adore franchise mode from fifa and madden, and I loved fifa pro clubs. Its a frightening pattern for anyone who wishes play with friends or to perform but aren't inclined to pay extra to win. It is alarming because we gave EA the formula to go out and invest billions on exclusive rights since they know they will find that money back.
