home safe from hard water damage.

are the installation steps for installing a water softener
Turn off the mains water supply
Before beginning to install a water
softener unit it's always advisable to turn off the mains water supply. It's
natural as we would be installing the water softener with the direct source of
hard water coming into the homes water tank.
It's also advisable to drain any
remaining water from the tank and the lines so that on the next fill the entire
home gets softwater supply.
Check the connectors
Make sure that you have read the
instruction manual that came with the unit. Identify which pipe is to be fitted
where. Start connecting the water supply pipe into the unit's inlet and connect
the water storage tank to the outlet of the unit.
Check functionality
Tighten and screw the pipes and
other fixtures properly and check the instruction manual for further
instructions. The initial first time starts up the process for water softener
units vary from model to model. Make sure that you follow the right
instructions for product safety.
Start the unit
Open the main water supply fully and
let the unit do its work. If instructions are completely followed then you are
good to go.

easy to read but in reality, installing a water softener unit all by yourself
is not an easy task and there are many moving parts involved. It would be best
