Electronic cigarette industry has drawn my attention from past couple of days, maybe because I am also a part of this vaper sub culture now. Recently, I have been reading a lot many reports that e cigarette advertisements and flavors deliberately aimed at minors. A recent article seized my attention in which 40 State Attorney Generals had written to the FDA asking them to regulate e cigarettes. I think they are asking do so because of the marketing strategy incorporated by different electronic cigarette brands. They also wanted to look into what goes into the e cigarettes and how they are marketed.

As per my knowledge I can guess that they also want the FDA to have a closer look at distinct and alluring flavors especially those that are fruity and candy based manufactured by the brands. Another issue as to why some of the current e cigarette ads are on TV. One of the electronic cigarette reviews website has also mentioned that some of the electronic cigarette brands are hiring advertising agency to plan a strategy for them in order to promote their products.

I strongly feel that regulation on all these points is required and I also want the FDA to speak on it. Because of some sub standard or local brands whole of the e cigarette industry is getting blamed and punished. All of the genuine brands like Green Smoke Electronic Cigarette are getting blamed because of them.  I really want the FDA to take a stand for it and help the vapers like me to enjoy our favorite electronic cigarettes.
