Coast Guard team from Miami helps seize cocaine off Venezuela coast
Go-fast vessels, named for their speed, are infamous for being the smuggler's choice when transporting drugs. They're small, fast and nearly invisible to radar, according to the U.S. Office of National Drug Control Policy.
Although they're small and hard to spot on the horizon, each one can haul up to two metric tons of cocaine -- a big plus when dodging law enforcement vessels as they make their way through the Caribbean.
