EARLIER THIS month, the Jamaica Public Service Company Limited (JPS) presented a cheque for $1 million to Northern Caribbean University (NCU). The donation, which was made by Lloyd Tyme, JPS director of customer operations for the southern region, is to go into the university's scholarship fund.

In making the presentation, Tyme expressed pleasure at being able to partner with NCU to impact the education landscape in Jamaica. "JPS is contributing the amount of J$1 million to go towards the fund for the academically qualified student who has financial challenges," he disclosed.
