It's high season in the Caribbean at the moment. Normally, that would mean full hotels charging their highest rates. But this winter, it's an altogether different picture. Recession has resulted in a sharp fall in the number of holidaymakers visiting the region, from both Britain and the United States.
This means not only are there plenty of flights, hotel rooms and villas, but also there are offers galore.
