This is the second consecutive year that 2K was unable to 2K23 MT choose between two giants thought to be the top centers around the globe. Last year, both were given 95 out of 100 in 2K22.I find myself eating out of Ronnie 2K's hand right now. It's true that we're in the dog days of offseason. With Kevin Durant pressing pause on the Brooklyn Nets' doomsday device just a few days ago What else do we have to talk about?
No matter if it's Madden, NHL, FIFA, MLB the Show, or any other major sporting league video game, the public release of each athlete's ratings always sparks heated debates. If you are able to publicly rate all players in a given group, it's natural to receive a few screaming fans, scorned rivals and the feeling of being snubbed.
The athletes themselves even speak out sometimes on their ratings in order to increase discussion. Durant was one of them earlier this week, and so did an old teammate from Klay Thompson. Both seemed unhappy about their latest results to in the least. It's my working theory that game developers do this deliberately. They make ratings that are just controversial enough to stir up controversy without jeopardizing the integrity of their game. While doing so, they promote discussion about their new game, in the hopes that more people are drawn to it.
In that sense, it seems like I'm doing exactly the same thing as the folks over at NBA 2K want right now. And, of course, what else could we discuss? Regardless of their motivations or motives, the NBA 2K team released its new game, with its ratings for players this week, including everyone on Brooklyn's 2022-23 roster. As expected, a few of their ratings for players seemed to be a little off-base, or even in a way that was disrespectful.
J. Cole already made history when he was the first rapper to have an officially licensed NBA 2K cover. Now, Dreamville artist Bas is giving more details regarding the game's upcoming release, including his likeness being used as a featured character.Bas posted photos from NBA 2K23's newest interactivity of MyCAREER on Instagram Thursday (September 1) and also showed himself in a recording room with the mode's lead character and an engineer.
In his follow-up slides in the slideshow, he shared a close-up photograph of him during the game, and a picture of Cole."this is for all my girls who had to remind their girls 'just one more game'" the caption reads. "For those who took it and got out of the "all they do is go to 2k' saga. we have one for you: No baby, i don't play too much Cheap 2K23 MT 2k, I AM 2K.""All jokes aside, you can catch me and the bros'23!!! We'll be a part of my personal favorite mode, MYPLAYER.
