Following the two weeks of community events the area that was rebuilt will be called Het's Oasis An area for exploring and learning with new information and RuneScape gold content related to skills for those seeking to enhance their Agility, Hunting, and Farming abilities.
"Heroes will also assist the God of Death in two Eye of Het mini-quests as they explore Het's Tomb seeking a powerful object that will aid the young gods in the Elder God Wars saga," the press release states.
A new event is scheduled to begin and starts now and runs until Jan. 3, 2022, players will be able to have an updated version of the iconic "Partyhat" that was an item initially available during a Christmas event earlier in 2001. Initially available in red blue, green, yellow or white the RuneScape's "The Golden Party Hat Hunt" quest allows players to unlock one of the highly-sought cosmetics that has a metallic sheen.
As the partyhats were originally only available during a brief period of time and are now no longer available anyone lucky enough to own one is able to sell them for billions in game coins. Even though the hats are solely decorative and don't offer stat bonuses, they are right now among the top items on the Grand Exchange, hitting the highest price of 2.1billion gold in the year 2015.
To get their hands on head-on-heads in a Golden Party Hat, players will need to meet "various goals" and earn eight golden shreds for their efforts. Once all eight have been taken, they will be put together into a Golden Party Hat.
But, not only is the event time-limited, but only one golden hat will be available for each participant. Just like their 2001 counterparts buy OSRS gold, Jagex says of the golden hats that "after the cut-off date the golden hats will no longer become available to be earned again!"
