You know, I think we're D2R Items fortunate to really have four major IPs in the form of WarCraft, StarCraft, Diablo and, most recently, Diablo. Also, there's Heroes which is a sort of of an amalgamation of of the kinds of borrowings from all pieces of the IPs.
I believe that's very powerful. In reference to a previous question in which I discussed IPs and their ability for many of them to support different kinds of gaming This is something we're always seeking out.
I personally believe that there are always characters and great stories, along with plenty of games, and lots of games we can develop in current IPs. I think there's plenty of room and plenty of space for that. But that you need to be thinking about the future as well.
And so both are important. Fans want to see more StarCraft games. As a StarCraft fan, I would also like to see more StarCraft games. Fans want additional Diablo games. I'm a fanand also want to see more Diablo games. Fans want new IPs and me too.
Also, when are discussed in terms of "What IP we should use and how should we look at it?" The team has a lot of decision-making powers on this. Also, we need to think through what games and IPs the teams are excited about. What IP can be used for various kinds of games.
I'm thinking that the fact we have these IPs that contain these stories, these time periods and any stories of games that are associated with them -- I consider it an asset. I don't think of that as a threat. I think that the capability and drive to create innovative games is important, and we've shown that we're able to do this by launching Diablo, and we'll prove it in the future.
A first-person shooter based on StarCraft is believed to have become Blizzard's white whale. Recently, there was news of a game that was an in-person shooter in the StarCraft universe being canceled, and of course, there was StarCraft Ghost. Are you sure that that is a concept you'd still like to explore?
I'm sure one of the things that I'd like to bring up is that there's been some recent media coverage of games that we haven't taken action on, but internally, it is known that Diablo 2 Resurrected buy items about 50% of games we begin actually launch.
