Shely says: The strongholds are D2R Items an essential part of the world. We wanted the player to be able to make changes to the world, and for their actions to affect what's happening within our world in Sanctuary. If you find these strongholds, there are many of them scattered across the various areas.
Some are swarming with creatures. After removing them then you'll be able to restore them to a relatively secure location for Sanctuary. Characters that aren't players will appear and you'll be able unlock additional quests, additional dungeons can be unveiled as a result, and the strongholds will change as a result of the actions you take on the character throughout.
Fergusson: It's interesting. While playing, strongholds are, in RPG terms, instances where there is no privacy. Therefore, when you're brought to a strongerhold, or you try to get rid of the stronghold, it's an private moment. So you go in with your group and go to fight.
Once you've won that fight the area transforms into a social space. It's now as Joe was just saying that it could be an entire town, it could be a dungeon, it could be a new waypoint to teleport to, but now the other players are able to be the same place.
So that's the idea of looking through every one of these strongholds in private that can be transformed into social spaces that offer benefits to help navigate the world--new gear and a loop of a dungeon, those sorts of things--[isan exciting approach to influence the world as you're playing. How can that be buy D2R Ladder Items integrated with local events?
