Although it's definitely a surprise that 2K made a deal like this particularly late in mt 2k23 the game's rollout, the pattern of the game may have hinted at this happening some day. NBA 2K has evolved from simply another product that is hyped within the gaming industry. It's now an iconic moment in pop culture and its intersection of pop culture, music, fashion, sneakers, and, of obviously, basketball has brought the game to levels that is unmatched by any other sport. With its latest edition, NBA 2K23, the game made history when it announced J. Cole as the first rapper to be featured on its cover NBA 2K with the Dreamer Edition. While it's certainly a surprise that 2K announced a cover like this at such a late stage in the launch, the pattern of the game may have implied that this might happen some day.
