Both have been enjoyable to play. I'd much rather ffxiv to WOW Classic TBC Gold eso. Eso is just. It's empty. It's not able to hold my attention but ffxiv simply has a lot of energy, as the op mentioned. Esos combat is kinda disgusting. Imagine skyrim with a 3 second server delay after each attack. This is eso.
Action combat is fun and fast-paced. Engaging taunts, blocks and dodges are great but they don't come with cooldowns , so it's a constant spam-fest. Some classes simply make use of the same skill 13 times, lol.
The company doesn't take into account the time you spend as a player as FFXIV does. It will take you just as long to spend time managing your money account and inventory even if you don't have the option of a premium membership (same price as the FFXIV). If you're not a premium subscriber every new dungeon will need to be purchased. Also they have yearly expansions with limited content.
TBF Final Fantasy can only be sub-subscribed to. It's all fine if you purchase the ESO sub. It's not the best expansions, however, they're half the price of FF expansions and release more frequently, so when you double the size of buy TBC Classic Gold these for the same price it's pretty competitive.
