It's just not the right way to use it. Simply put magic isn't designed to be used in the same way in the same way as Range or Melee. Range and Melee only can only hit one target at a time OSRS Power Leveling, while magic (using Ancients), may hit multiple targets at once. To demonstrate similarity, I'll employ an analogy. Magic is similar to the real-world nuke. Now, you wouldn't use a nuclear weapon the same way you would an Ak47. Nukes can strike multiple objects simultaneously, and then destroy them all. An Ak-47 is, however, specifically designed to kill people.
This is where most people end up using magic. People attempt to utilize Magic like they use Range and Melee. In reality, this is not the best method to use. You make use of your advantage by striking multiple individuals at once. A crowd of people will be attacked and killed fast if you use Ice spells.
Another thing I've seen rarely is full Ahrim's and shadow spells. When you do this it is likely to reduce the enemies Attack and Strength levels to nothing, rendering them incapable. Once you've lowered the stats of your opponent, you can use smoke and Ice spells to poison them and put them to death in their lines.
There's still the dragonhide issue where the meleer wears black d'hide and becomes invincible to magical powers. I think that a nice -50 to all melee attack stats would solve the problem. Another thought I have is the cost of using magic. I do not have any solutions. If you have one, please share it with me. Magic is like a nuclear weapon. Nukes could cause the death of many.
