The Roaring Twenties

The Roaring Twenties The Roaring Twenties is a period of time in 1920th which is well-known by its celebrating lifestyle, and consumer-based society. It was a post-war period when after the terrible events of the war people wanted to have fun and celebrate their well-being. It was a time of adolescent rebellion because young generation rebelled against the norms and rules of a past decade and wanted to build their own world. In addition, America became much richer after this war and it brough the opportunity to celebrate and spend much money. It was a time of feminism, innovations, and jazz music. People had parties all the time and were extremely sociable. The main sense of life was wealth and success. The society of that time was called consumer-based as the main goal was in purchasing products and expression of well-being.
That time was extremely significant for industry and different spheres. First, it was flourishing because of creative types of industry such as cinema, music, literature, and art. Cinema industry made fascinating movies, and gained large profits. Music industry gained significant success, especially jazz music, where the African-Americans proved their crucial role in American society. In addition, it was a time of inventors and development of technologies as well as automobile industry. During that time, many automobiles were created and produced, as well as planes, and other means of travel. Many clubs and concert halls also gained profit as events and social life were extremely significant for the society of 1920th.
However, there were some negative sides caused by that period. Agricultural industry had decreased and urban life started to replace the life in suburbs. In addition, a small percentage of people where rich while others were poor, and treated unfairly. Immigrants, especially of different ethnical backgrounds, lived in terrible conditions, and still could not get well-paid jobs. African-American society of that time still did not have equal rights with white people.
