The control is very simple, you can point the nose up or down using the up and down button, and you can make it swim to the left or the right using the swim motion by wiggle the control stick back and forth. If you want to make it swim to the right you need to wiggle the stick more to the right, and the same thing for making the air fish swim to the left.
