Fans of the Rasta man who were still in awe of his rendition of "23 Psalms" from the Unchained Spirit album way back in 2000, won't be disappointed by the lyrical deejay's latest offering. Rasta Got Soul proves without a doubt that Buju Banton is back and better than ever!
Featuring collaborations with Wyclef Jean and reggae heavyweights Third World, Rasta Got Soul continues Buju Banton's metamorphosis from slack dancehall king creating firestorms of controversy with his lyrics, to a more spiritually conscious artist who is taking reggae music to a higher level. Produced by Banton, whose real name is Mark Myrie, most of the album was recorded in his studio in Jamaica and showcases some of the artist's most reflective lyrics since 1995's Til Shiloh.
