When I have a lot of options then it becomes rather
difficult for me to find the best out of the given lot. The more is less
syndrome is what I suffer from…I greatly agree with Barry Schwartz that we
Americans now have more choices then ever but there is no psychological
satisfaction. Every time I buy a product, I do my research, read the reviews,
and buy the best but just when I do that, I feel that I am not content with my
choice. There is always a feeling that what if I would have explored for more
options?
How I see it, there are options within and amongst brands
for every industry. Quoting an example of a product I use regularly, electronic
cigarette. E cigarette is used by many people I know. The initial days
were good old days when there were not many choices available but now it’s a
mad scene. There are “n” numbers of brands available.
Like there is a competition in every industry, e cig brands
too are competing, every time I go through e cigarette reviews or check a
website before I buy electronic cigarette, there is a range of newly introduced
accessories, products and I always end up thinking am I using the best e cigs or is it time for me to
find the best electronic cigarette and not just go with what I am using right
now.
Smokeless cigarette, I prefer to call them that way, reminds
me of what I am not doing since it is all vapor. Anyhow, now I have come to
realize that this way I can never be content, never be satisfied. So I go
through e cig reviews, then I do my own little research and make a list of
brands I feel provide the best e cigarette, then I do research on my list of
top rated electronic cigarette and choose a brand which suits my need, is not
heavy on my pocket, is sound technologically and of course the quality is
supreme. I think we can get over the “more is less syndrome” if we do initial
research on our own so that we are not left with any doubt later.
