Really a weird demand! I wonder
what role regulation will play in helping minors to abstain from electronic
cigarettes. Electronic cigarette regulations are in news these days, even e
cigarette review forums are witnessing these questions and protestors have
got a very strong point to protest but I feel these points are invalid.
Minors are not supposed to use
electronic cigarette but they are purchasing it. How? Online shopping does not
even exist in scene, thanks to strict bank policies according to which minors
are not entitled to get credit cards. But what we can do if parents are giving
their cards willingly to their kids. Or if kids are free to use their parent’s
smoking device. Moreover, many electronic cigarette brands, to name a few White
Cloud Electronic Cigarettes, have already prohibited the sale of electronic
cigarettes to minors.
As far as retail shopping is
concerned, I know there are many rules and regulations which has prohibited the
sale of electronic cigarette to minors. There are no dearths of rules and there
is no need of new ones. Of course, you cannot smoke an odorless smoking device
which has been designed so that it disturbs no one. But it is a rule and we
accept it. Next comes you cannot dine and vape together even if your fellow diners
have no problem because the regulators who are sitting at their home assume
that it will disturb others.
I think the already existing
rules should be implemented carefully rather than formulating the new ones. And
I am sure it is a wise decision. Government should make efforts in this
direction rather than wasting time in coming up with new ideas.
