Caribbean King: A different taste for the Taste of Syracuse
Syracuse, NY -- When you imagine what the "taste of Syracuse" might be, food wise, it's not likely you'll think of Oxtail Stew, Curry Goat or Calaloo & Saltfish.
But if you head to this year's Taste of Syracuse event downtown Friday and Saturday, you'll find those dishes at the vendor called Caribbean King.
It's part of the trend toward more exotic offerings each year at Taste of Syracuse, says coordinator Pam Levine. The Taste has almost 40 food vendors, about a dozen of them new to the event this year.
