- After facing extradition from Jamaica for more than a year,
triple-murder suspect Davion Parson has finally been brought back to
Polk County, but prosecutors had to agree not to seek the death penalty.

County Jail on three counts of first-degree murder, jail records show. During a brief Monday hearing, Polk County Judge Robert L. Williams Jr. denied bail for Parson. The Public Defender's Office was appointed to represent him. To
get him extradited from Jamaica, prosecutors here had to agree not to
seek the death penalty against Parson, said Chip Thullbery, spokesman
for the State Attorney's Office in Bartow.
