National Security Minister Martin Joseph last night announced that the Special Anti-Crime Unit of Trinidad and Tobago (SAUTT) has been given the lead responsibility for solving all gang-related homicides.
A street gang expert from Chicago is also now helping the police deal with the rising gang violence, which has been responsible.
"Gang-related homicides are the most difficult homicides to solve," Joseph said last night during his contribution to the 2008/2009 Budget debate at the House of Representatives sitting in the Red House, Port of Spain.
